During my PSIII I was determined to find or create a style of lesson plan that I felt comfortable using. I needed to be able to track the dates, identify my outcomes and objectives, assessments, activities and break down of the lesson I wanted to use. Plus this template allowed me to bring more attention to my differentiation by listing the EA I have and the students who have specific needs in my class.
I really enjoyed the way my Teacher Mentor structured his plans so I took what he did and modified it to fit my needs. To the left is a blank copy of the lesson plan template that I use. |

Science - Colour: This lesson was taught in my PSI with a split class of Grade Ones and Twos. Division 2
Drama 6 - Improv : This lesson was created during my PSII Curriculum and Instruction Course. This lesson builds on students understanding of how the stage works by having them play a familiar game from gym class. This is a good activity to help build new knowledge by using prior knowledge.

Drama 8 - Orientation : This lesson was created during my PSII Curriculum and Instruction Course. This lesson builds concentration and teamwork making it appropriate for all subject disciplines. This shows my ability to sculpt lessons which can be used across curriculum.

Social Studies 8 - Renaissance (Feudalism): This lesson taps into multiple learning styles, visual, kinaesthetic, and verbal. Because I had multiple students who lacked writing skills by going over things with different techniques really touches on skills that they did have.
This lesson was created during my PSIII practicum. |

Social Studies 8 - Japan Isolation (Political Structure): This lesson taps into multiple learning techniques including, written, pictorial, and verbal. This lesson also has students working as a team to collaboratively build knowledge. Plus this lesson builds on familiar knowledge that the students have from the Renaissance unit (Feudalism) and by connecting those two ideas together really assists in the growth of this topic.
